O-Bontemps, Magalas in the Beziers area, South of France - Restaurant Review November 2008

Olivier and Emanuelle Bontemps, born and bred in the Beziers area, opened their restaurant in Magalas with a view to offering excellent cuisine from the freshest produce in season. Their aim is to provide a gastronomique experience in a harmonious setting - and it works.

It all looks too beautiful to eat, and there are so many little nibbly bits in between courses you can be forgiven for forgetting what you have ordered. And the beetroot mousse thing they serve is just divine!
The best thing is to put yourself in the chef's hands and tell Emanuelle what you don't like and wait to be surprised. This menu is excellent value for money, and has been made from whatever was fresh in the market that morning. There is also, at a slightly heftier price; the 'à la carte' menu.

Whatever you order, you will be pleasantly surprised by the showmanship presentation of the dishes your neighbours have ordered.

If you want to go, be warned, you MUST book in advance (there is a wait of 3-4 weeks for a table on a Saturday night) as they have only 30-40 covers at any one time - call them on 04 67 36 20 82
