La Table du Château - Restaurant review July 2010

Situated in the centre of Bizanet village, this lovely restaurant is located in a restored wing of a 13th Century castle, not far from Narbonne and the Fontfroide abbey.

The superb dining room mixes clean modern lines under the ancient stone arches and provides an excellent back-drop for Eric Marsanne’s cuisine. He shops at the local markets and designs his menus around the seasons and the fresh produce available. His aim is to bring traditional dishes up to date, giving them a new freshness and a subtlety.

In fine weather, it is possible to eat outside on the lovely terrace and sample the wine list. Allow €33-36 for dinner and €16-21 for lunch.
